Description

This is an 8-week painting course delivered in a small, inclusive class with a maximum of 8 students. This course is aimed at those with some experience of drawing and painting (whether acrylic, oil or watercolour) or who have completed the Introductory Autumn/Winter Painting Course. 4 sessions will be dedicated to workshops with a specific focus on aspects of colour, media-handling and technique. The remaining 4 sessions are used however the artist wishes with most opting to produce a finished painting on canvas, drawing upon experience gained in the initial 8 hours of learning. Most students will prefer to provide their own photographs or objects for this so as to produce something personal and unique to them. But most importantly, copious amounts of tea, coffee and biscuits are offered throughout evenings. Students can make use of the beautiful café area to chat to fellow students about their artwork, or simply take a breather before getting back to their easel. *Artists are issued with a materials list and are required to bring some essentials including paints.
