Description

10 x 2hr sessions of acrylic painting delivered in a small, inclusive class with an average class size of 8-10 students. These classes tend to attract artists with some experience of drawing and painting (whether acrylic, oil or watercolour), but complete beginners are suited to this class and will be fully supported as they get to grips with all aspects of drawing and painting. 5 sessions will be dedicated to workshops with a specific focus on aspects of drawing, colour, media-handling and technique. 5 sessions are used however the artist wishes with most opting to produce a finished painting on canvas, drawing upon experience gained in the initial 10 hours of learning. Most prefer to provide their own photographs or objects for this so as to produce something personal and unique to them, but inspiring reference images are always provided. Classes have a lovely warm, supportive atmosphere, with artists often returning for several blocks. We have access to a wee kitchen space and artists enjoy making a brew while chatting to fellow students about their artwork. *Artists are issued with a materials list prior to the start of the course and are required to bring some essentials including high quality acrylic paints. ** Please check all dates carefully before enrolling on the course
