The Wednesday night class tends to attract artists with some experience of drawing and painting (whether acrylic, oil or watercolour). 8 x 2hr sessions of acrylic painting delivered in a small, inclusive class with a maximum of 10 students. The sessions are used however the artist wishes with many opting to produce sketchbook work/ practise drawings and paintings before working on a more sustained piece of work on canvas for 4 or more sessions. Laura will support you fully as you decide how best to structure your time to meet your goals, regardless of what stage you are at on your painting journey. Plenty of inspiring reference images (Still Life, Landscape, Portraiture) are provided with students encouraged to bring in their own photographs or objects for at least one artwork in order to produce something personal and unique to them. The class has a lovely warm, supportive atmosphere, with artists often returning for several blocks. Artists can make use of the beautiful café area to chat to fellow students about their artwork, or simply take a breather before getting back to their easel. *Artists are issued with a materials list prior to the start of the course and are required to bring some essentials including good quality paints. ** Please check all dates carefully before enrolling.
